Estate and Tax Planning, including Wills and Trusts

Our firm concentrates its practice in the areas of wills, trusts, and estates. We provide a wide range of services, including simple planning such as the preparation of wills, trusts for minor children, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives for people of various asset levels.

We also assist clients who wish to utilize more sophisticated estate planning techniques, such as revocable living trusts, credit shelter trusts (also known as family or bypass trusts), QTIP or marital trusts, generation skipping trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, private foundations, gift annuities, charitable trusts, conservation easements, family limited partnerships and family limited liability companies, irrevocable life insurance trusts, special needs trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor-retained annuity trusts, and sales to defective grantor trusts.

We have experience with intergenerational planning, planning for same-sex and non-traditional families, pet trusts, planning for blended families and second marriages, charitable and family gift planning, including both annual exclusion and lifetime exemption gifts and the preparation of related gift tax returns, asset-protection planning, trust modification proceedings, and closely held business transitions.

The estate and gift tax laws change frequently. We provide our clients with informed and up-to-date advice in this complicated area of the law.
